LG Display has designed a Solar E-Book Reader with a wafer thin photovoltaic cell that enables to have consistent solar energy. E-books score points in the green journals as they are light, flexible and do not add to carbon emissions and deforestation. The one big disadvantage has been the fact that most e-book readers available in the market could go dead at anytime due to the lack of power. Not so with this neat solar reader. The device has a 10cm wide thin film panel and is high on energy efficiency in the portable reader segment. LG hopes that this tech toy will add to their being seen as a leader in environmentally friendly products.
