In an attempt at water conservation through reduced water usage by showers, Shower Brake is the latest gadget in the market designed by Sang–in Lee and Dae Hyun Kim. The gadget works like a timer or a reminder that water is going down the drain as we shower. In actual visual terms the device slowly falls throughout the shower to alert the user to the amount of water being used. Reduced consumption of water will lead to savings on the resource and energy front. The device can be set for temperature and water pressure and falls slowly or fast based on the amount of water being used. It also has a function that requires the device to be moved to allow more water to flow serving as a guilt inducing activity.
