Monstrous Hybrid

March 7, 2010 · 0 comments

When a product, component or material is created using organic as well as technical nutrients through processes that make it almost impossible to separate, the term used for the product, component or material is Monstrous Hybrid.

Michael Braungart and William McDonough of McDonough Braungarty Design Chemistry are responsible for the creation of the term which also stands for products that are unable to be reused or recycled. More often than not, monstrous hybrids add to the waste stream and offer no option but to be thrown away rather than reused.
