The Green Globe Foundation was established by Indian event organisers Wizcraft in 2008 to highlight the global climate crisis. The Foundation is partnered by The Energy Resources Institute (TERI) and is supported by United Nations Environment Programme, CNBC TV 18, CNBC Awaaz and CNN IBN. In addition to supporting and initiating programs that aim to create environmental awareness, the Foundation also present Green Globe Awards to honour those who are making a substantial contribution in the green zone in India and to salute organisations fighting climate change though preservation and regeneration efforts. The Awards have green partner Idea Cellular on board with their message ‘Use mobile, Save Paper’.
